About Us
The Irish Rowing Archives were created in 2013 to act as a repository for Irish rowing memorabilia and research material. As each generation of rowers passes on, a little bit of the rich history of our sport dies with them.
Our mission is to identify and preserve collections of archives, papers, manuscripts and publications that record the values, culture and history of rowing in Ireland. We aim to try and preserve as much as possible through borrowing, scanning and uploading the material to the web.
The site currently contains over 3,000 items or 50,000 pages of material and is growing weekly.
Access is totally free and will always remain so. We do however need help gathering information. If you enjoyed the site why not see what is available in your club that could be posted.
Any suggestions are most welcome to IrishRowingArchives@gmail.com
